Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima. Meet and greet, followed by a private transfer to your hotel with an English-speaking guide. Dinner on your own.
Day 2 : Lima
Visit of Lima Cathedral, its cloisters, library, and catacombs. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit of the modern district of Miraflores, the city’s financial and business center, and the bohemian neighborhood of Barranco. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3 : Lima – Arequipa
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to the airport with a english-speaking guide and flight to Arequipa.
Arrival in the ‘White City’, so named for its buildings made of sillar, a type of volcanic tuff. Lunch at a local restaurant. Stroll through the historic districts. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4 : Arequipa – Chivay
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure in private transport with a French-speaking guide to the Colca Valley. You will cross the Cañahuas Pampas and the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you can observe vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, and even guanacos roaming freely. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit to the La Calera Thermal Baths.
Day 5 : Chivay – Croix du Condor – Chivay – Puno
Early morning departure for the Colca Canyon. Stop at the Condor’s Cross (Cruz del Condor). Further along, at the Tapay Viewpoint, the main highlight is watching the condors fly. On the way back to Chivay, stops in small local villages. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Crossing of the Altiplano, the vast wild plains stretching between the snow-capped peaks of the Andean Cordillera. Arrival in Puno and check-in at the hotel.
Day 6 : Puno (Uros + Taquile)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Day excursion to Lake Titicaca by private traditional boat with a English-speaking guide. Visit to the Uros Floating Islands. Continuation to Taquile Island. You will get to know and meet the island’s inhabitants, who are master weavers. Lunch at a local community restaurant. Return to Puno
Day 7 : Puno – Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by private transport with a French-speaking guide to Cusco. Crossing the Altiplano to the Andes to appreciate extraordinary landscapes and numerous artisanal villages (mostly potters and weavers). Lunch at a local restaurant.
Stop to visit Raqch’i: an ancient Wari site. Visit to Andahuaylillas. Arrival in Cusco and check-in at the hotel. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 8 : Cusco – Marché Chinchero – Maras (Communauté de Taucca – Vallée Sacrée)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the Sacred Valley. Visit to Chinchero to attend the Andean market (on Sundays). Continuation to the Maras Salt Mines, followed by a meet-and-greet with the community of Taucca and lunch.
Discovery of local agricultural products and crafts. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 9 : Vallée Sacrée – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel and early morning departure for Ollantaytambo station to board the EXPEDITION train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu). Bus ride up to Machu Picchu for a guided tour. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to Cusco. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 10 : Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of the ancient capital, including the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Free afternoon to explore the city on your own. Dinner at a local restaurant with a show.
Day 11 : Cusco – Return flight (not included).
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of the Larco Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant.
At the scheduled time, private transfer to the airport with a English-speaking guide, boarding, and flight to Paris.
