Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Your adventure begins at the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Settle into your room, nestled in the heart of the coffee plantations. This is the perfect moment to spot colobus monkeys leaping from branch to branch in the lush gardens, while tropical birds welcome your arrival with their song. A tranquil evening, set to the gentle murmur of the surrounding forest, invites you to unwind and prepare for the journey ahead.
Day 2 : Manyara National Park
After a delicious breakfast, you will hit the road heading toward the Great Rift Valley to discover Lake Manyara National Park. Here, the forest is denser than in any other Tanzanian park, and the local lions have uniquely learned to climb trees. Further along, the lake reveals itself—during the right season, it is blanketed with thousands of birds. Along the marshy shores, you can spot buffalos resting among the vibrant green reeds.
Day 3 : Serengeti National Park
Head toward the mythical Serengeti. The landscape transforms as trees give way to the ‘endless plains.’ Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge. Arriving at Pioneers Camp plunges you into the golden age of safari: an authentic tented camp where you live to the rhythm of the bush. Across these granite lands dotted with kopjes, cheetahs survey the horizon. From December to March, this becomes the realm of the Great Migration.
Day 4 : Serengeti National Park
The day begins with an early wake-up call followed by a 4×4 game drive through the Serengeti. Prepare for a visual feast! A lioness on the hunt, a leopard hidden in a sausage tree, a giraffe swaying gracefully among the acacias—the day is packed with incredible wildlife encounters. In the evening, gathered around the campfire at Pioneers Camp, you will listen to the calls of hyenas beneath a pristine, starry sky.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Wake up at dawn for a 4×4 game drive en route. You will leave the Serengeti behind and head toward the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. As you reach the edge, the view will take your breath away. Your vehicle then begins its descent into this protected caldera, enclosed by 600-meter-high walls. Navigating the trails between marshes and yellow-barked acacia woodlands, all your senses will be on high alert so you don’t miss a single moment of this incredible natural spectacle.
Day 6: Tarangire National Park
Leaving the cool air of the highlands, you will make your way to Tarangire National Park. Here, the landscape is sculpted by ancient baobabs whose massive silhouettes seem to belong to another era. Perched high in the heart of the park, Tarangire Safari Lodge offers an ideal vantage point to observe the wildlife while sipping your tea.
Day 7: Arusha – Return Flight
Enjoy your final breakfast in the heart of the African savanna and embark on one last 4×4 game drive to bid farewell to the giants of Tarangire, before heading back to Arusha for your return flight or the next chapter of your journey in Zanzibar.
